Abuja Private Schools Basketball Classics enter final phase


The final phase of the second edition of the Abuja Private Secondary Schools Basketball Classics for Private Secondary Schools within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja enters its knockout stage today after the first phase was concluded on November 5, at the outdoor basketball courts, Package B of the Abuja National Stadium.


This last phase would see 24 teams comprising 12 boys and 12 girls teams each slugging it out in the competition powered by US-based Alpha Plus Mega Concepts in collaboration with the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF). Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Plus Mega Concepts, Tony Ujadughele, said haven gotten to this last lap of the competition, it is now a matter of the winners moving on and losers going home to plan again.

Today would witness clashes for the ultimate crown and classification games including trophy presentations to winners and runners up. The participating male teams include American International, CKC Gwagwalada, Premier Academy, Pace Setters, Raberto Schools, ICS, Living Spring and The Hillside. Others are Kingsville, Glisten, Turkish and Capital Science.

While the female teams include, Louisville School, American International School, Living Spring, Capital Science, Kingsville, Raberto Schools, Glisten, PaceSetters, Regina Pacis, ICS, Hillside and Premiere.
